Meet Our Oral Surgeons

Jerome E Schoen, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Schoen was a founding member of the Physician Committee to start Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington and was involved in the recruitment and credentialing of the first medical staff. He continues to be an active staff member at Good Shepherd and has served on many committees including the executive committee. He also maintains staff appointment at Northwest Community Hospital. Dr. Schoen was appointed by the Illinois State Dental Board to be a state examiner in the Oral Surgery section, a position he held for several years.

Martin J. Zidron, D.D.S
Dr. Zidron is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Zidron’s professional interests include all areas of patient care, but have concentrated recent continuing education experiences in aesthetic implant procedures. This includes new techniques and materials for bone grafting and implant placement.

John T. Thompson, D.D.S.
Dr. Thompson served as a general dental officer in the U.S. Army for 3 years before being selected to receive advanced oral surgery training at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center. He was then promoted to Chief of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at this Army level II trauma center and later was appointed Chief of Surgical Research at the U.S. Army Dental & Trauma Research Detachment.
