Scheduling

Our office is open 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday.  Please call us at (847) 381-0106 for Barrington or (847) 358-0064 for Palatine to schedule an appointment.

We try our best to stay on schedule and see you at the scheduled time. Due to the fact that we provide surgical services, various circumstances may lengthen the time allocated for a procedure. Patients needing emergency care can sometimes cause delays. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

Consultation Appointments

Consultation appointments are usually in the afternoon as the morning appointments are reserved for our surgical patients. We will make every attempt to schedule your appointment in a timely and convenient manner.   If you anticipate a need for your treatment to be done shortly after your consultation, please let our Treatment Coordinators know, as it may be possible to schedule your surgical appointment at the time your consultation appointment is scheduled.

Emergency Appointments

We recognize that many times it is not possible to anticipate needing our services.  Many dental emergencies, especially toothaches, arise during the night. If you awake in pain or have an emergency situation, every attempt will be made to see you the day you call.  If your dentist is unavailable, please call our office between 9:00 and 10:30 am in order to make an emergency appointment. 

If you have a new dental emergency over the weekend, such as a toothache, please call your dentist first. Usually, definitive dental care is not available after hours and on weekends for routine dental problems due to facility and staffing availability.  Your local hospital emergency room can usually prescribe medication (after seeing you for evaluation) to keep you comfortable until your dentist can see you.

All patients of Dr. Schoen and Dr. Zidron’s, with postoperative problems or concerns will be able to speak with the doctor on call regardless of the day or time.  Our After Hours answering service phone number is (847)381-0106.
